NTC on the instructions of Ministry of IT (MoIT) successfully arranged High Definition Video Conference link between UK High Commission and PM Secretariat, Islamabad
On 30th May 2016, National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) on the instructions of Ministry of IT (MoIT) successfully arranged High Definition Video Conference link between UK High Commission and PM Secretariat, Islamabad for facilitating the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan for chairing Pre-Budget Cabinet and NEC meeting from UK. Never before in the history of Pakistan, such kind of Video Conference has been arranged for subject purpose. NTC which has the mandate to provide secure and reliable Telecom Services to the government of Pakistan and the establishment of this successful Video Link has once again proved that NTC is fully capable of doing its critical job successfully. Under the guidance and leadership of Brig (r) Viqar Rashid Khan, Chairman NTC, the Corporation is extending its full services to its designated customers with the entire satisfaction of Government of Pakistan.
The Minister of IT, Ms. Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan and other Cabinet members appreciated the Video link Services being provide by NTC.
NTC’s Telecom Network is being Expanded at 06 Districts of Sindh & 06 Districts of Balochistan Province
NTC’s presence is being expanded with more coverage in district level. Under this theme, 06 district headquarters of Sindh province (Mithi, Sanghar, Kamber Ali Khan, Badin, Naushero Feroz and Umerkot)
and 06 district headquarters of Balochistan province (Ziarat, Pishin, Chaman, Khuzdar-city, Uthal and Khuzdar Cantt) are being covered to
provide NTC services to designated subscribers.
NTC is in the Process of Replacing its Legacy TDM Exchanges to Next Generation IP Based Exchanges
Legacy TDM based telephone exchanges are working in NTC network. A plan has been prepared to replace these exchanges with NGN based
IP network. Phase wise implementation is under progress with placement of geographically redundant softswitches in 03 regions and
Multi Services Access Gateways (MSAGs) at locations where NTC designated subscribers can be provided telecom services.
NTC is Establishing its Call Centre & Fault Management System
A Call Centre and Fault Management System is being deployed to facilitate NTC subscribers availing NTC telephone and DSL services.
The project is likely to be completed in current Fiscal Year 2014-15 with aim to provide online support and logging of complaints
for valued NTC subscribers.
